Duration of PhD Degrees at UWL

  • A full-time degree takes 3-4 years to complete.
  • A part-time degree takes 5-6 years to complete.

Benefits of Scholarships  

The University of West London offers the following benefits to fully funded Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarship holders:

  • Students enrolled in a full-time degree will receive an annual allowance of £22,000 with exemption from tuition fees for 3 years.
  • Candidates enrolled in a part-time program will receive a yearly allowance of £11,000 with exemption from tuition fees for 6 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Those applying for the Vice-Chancellor’s PhD Scholarships at the University of West London must meet the given eligibility requirements. 

  • Both local and international students can apply.
  • They must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field. 
  • They must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field. 
  • They must possess an English language proficiency certificate with a 6.5 IELTS score (exception for UK degree holders).
  • Scholarship holders enrolled in full-time programs must accomplish research duties for 6 hours every week, and those enrolled in part-time programs must perform 3 hours every week.

  • Next, contact a potential supervisor and email your research proposal.
  • You can edit your proposal with the assistance of your supervisor.
  • You must download the online application form for your PhD program in the relevant research area.
  • Fill in the form with the required information and upload the essential documents.
  • Once the form is complete, please review it and submit your application form.
