The German government invites students in their Bachelor’s to apply for the RISE Germany Research Internship for 2026-27. Interns will have an opportunity to work under the supervision of PhD academics at reputable universities, attend networking events, and visit sites.
The RISE Germany program is a summer research internship offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in collaboration with the German Federal Foreign Office. The researchers will have the opportunity to complete a research project at a top German institution within 10-12 weeks.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the RISE Germany Research Internship 2026-27 must meet the given qualifications.
- Only students from the UK, Ireland, or North America are eligible to apply.
- You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in the field of science, technology, and engineering, and have completed at least two years of the degree.
- You must possess an excellent academic record and demonstrate research potential, and be willing to work abroad as a researcher in Germany.
- You must be proficient in English or German.
