Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf has invited international students to participate in the Summer Student Program 2026 in Germany. You must be undergraduate or graduate students in physics, life sciences, engineering, or other disciplines. Fellows will receive a daily allowance, free accommodation, health insurance, and bus transport tickets, along with guidance from the researchers.

HZDR is a research lab in Germany, renowned for conducting high-quality fundamental research in the disciplines of matter, energy, and health. It’s a member of the Helmholtz Association, the country’s largest scientific institution. It aims to provide the best possible solutions to societal challenges such as cancer therapies and sustainable energy resources. 

The duration of the research program may span from 6 to 9 weeks (July-September 2026). Fellows will learn additional skills and gain proficiency as they conduct their research under the supervision of leading researchers. It will help them to conduct advanced research proficiently in the future. All participants must follow the procedure and submit their applications by 22 February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be enrolled in a diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in the field of physics, life sciences, engineering, or other disciplines.
  • You must be available to pursue research in Germany for six-nine weeks.
  • You must have a valid university enrollment.
  • You must demonstrate English language proficiency and an excellent academic record.
